BOBi League Update ***All remaining 2020/21 league events Cancelled***

10th March 2021
  • BOBi League Teams,

I hope you are all safe and well?

The BOBI management team meet on Monday (8th March) to discuss the 2020/2021 Season. Having taken advice from our County FA and current Government guidelines we have regrettable reached a unanimous decision that we will have to cancel the 2020/21 Season. While like me you will be bitterly disappointed I hope that you all understand the reasons and that this was a difficult decision to have to make.

While grassroots sport will be starting again at the end of this month there are still no government guidelines for mass attendance until at least the 21st June at the earliest. With so many children and adults missing out on there regular training sessions it will take some time for the clubs to get there players back to a level of fitness and we did not feel that trying to possibly squeeze one event at the end of June would not  benefit any teams or players.

Moving forward I do hope that clubs will start to look at small, grouped friendly’s that will fit within the current government and FA guidelines. I hope that over the coming months we can get some of the teams together and get them playing mini events

Both myself and Jonathan Coles will be happy to discuss future small events with team managers and we can start to plan for the start of the new season in September 2021.

Thank you all again for your continued support during these very testing times

    John Ayling – League Secretary

on behalf of the BOBi League Committee.
